Aaron had the pleasure of sharing the stage with the legendary Canadian artist at both the SONY Centre, and at the Glenn Gould Theatre. At the latter concert, Retrocity (a Toronto-based 1980s ensemble including Jensen), backed up Siberry on a series of hits from her songbook.
Aaron has had the pleasure of performing with Glass Tiger’s Alan Frew, both as a member of Countermeasure and Retrocity, as a part of a tribute to great Canadian Songwriters. The concert featured Alan Frew, Dan Hill, and Lorraine Segato, and was co-presented by SING! The Toronto Vocal Arts Festival and Soulpepper Theatre.
Aaron is a member of the totally rad 1980s tribute a cappella group, Retrocity. The group has toured across Canada and to the U.K. and has performed alongside Canadian 80s mainstays including Alan Frew (Glass Tiger), Lorraine Segato, and Martha Johnson.
Aaron has written commissioned vocal charts for the JUNO-nominated singer, Mark Masri.
Aaron’s new work, “Long Road to Freedom” was premiered at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in honour of Dr. Nelson Mandela’s 100th Anniversary Concert. Aaron had the pleasure of singing several cues on the soundtrack of the Kevin Spacey film Casino Jack alongside Emilie-Claire Barlow and Cadence. The original score was composed by Jonathan Goldsmith. The film was nominated for a Golden Globe and won the Audience Choice Award at the St. Louis International Film Festival.
Countermeasure had the pleasure of performing at Triphony Hall in Tokyo, Japan as part of the Takatsuki Jazz Festival. The performance featured the world premiere of Jensen’s composition, Carry Away.
